Model Y highway range and real-world range
At a steady 120 km/h, we estimate the Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD covers about 416 km on a full charge, versus 525 km rated.

Model Y highway range at 120 km/h
NRCan's tests show the Long Range RWD using 14% more energy on the highway than in the city, so highway range is lower the combined rating. NRCan's highway cycle averages well under 100 km/h, so we take its highway figure and reduce it by 15% for 120 km/h. The Model Y ranks #8 of 30 on this estimate.

Model Y real-world range
Real-world range depends on speed, temperature, wheels and load. Mixed driving in mild weather usually lands near the rated 525 km. Sustained highway speeds pull it toward the 416 km estimate, and a cold highway trip can drop it further; see the Model Y winter range. For trip planning, most drivers use between 10% and 80% (charging stops) or 100% (leaving home) of the battery, which is about 309 to 397 km of highway driving.
