Kona Electric battery degradation and used range
EV batteries lose capacity slowly. At the average rate measured across 22,700 EVs (2.3% a year), a 2019 Kona Electric rated for 415 km would have roughly 353 km of range today.

The three columns reflect how the car was charged. Telematics firm Geotab found about 1.5% a year for EVs that rarely use DC fast chargers, 2.3% on average, and around 3% for EVs that fast-charge heavily at high power. Rated range is the longest version for each model year.
Checking a used Kona Electric
Ask the seller for a battery health or state-of-health report from a dealer or a battery-testing service, and check whether the original battery warranty still applies. A full charge that shows a much lower range estimate than this table, in mild weather, is worth questioning.
