Bolt EV highway range and real-world range
At a steady 120 km/h, we estimate the Chevrolet Bolt EV Bolt EV covers about 323 km on a full charge, versus 417 km rated.

Bolt EV highway range at 120 km/h
NRCan's tests show the Bolt EV using 20% more energy on the highway than in the city, so highway range is lower the combined rating. NRCan's highway cycle averages well under 100 km/h, so we take its highway figure and reduce it by 15% for 120 km/h. The Bolt EV ranks #23 of 30 on this estimate.

Bolt EV real-world range
Real-world range depends on speed, temperature, wheels and load. Mixed driving in mild weather usually lands near the rated 417 km. Sustained highway speeds pull it toward the 323 km estimate, and a cold highway trip can drop it further; see the Bolt EV winter range. For trip planning, most drivers use between 10% and 80% (charging stops) or 100% (leaving home) of the battery, which is about 239 to 308 km of highway driving.
